A Business Lawyer to Help Get You Started

My name is Megan Phillips, and I’m the owner of a small consulting business. I started my business two years ago, and at the time I made a pretty big mistake. I didn’t hire a business lawyer to help me get started. I was six months into my business before I realized that I might need some help. A sole proprietorship seemed the way to go when I first opened. Of course, I didn’t know the difference between that and other ways to organize a business. I had heard of LLC’s, partnerships and corporations but for some reason didn’t think that would apply to me. Turns out they did.
